Oceania - Health & Vaccinations

This overview covers the 14 sovereign states of Oceania. It does not replace individual travel-medicine advice. Vaccine recommendations, mosquito risk, outbreaks and entry requirements vary by island, itinerary, season and personal circumstances.

Important notice

Review routine vaccines, hepatitis A/B and, depending on itinerary, additional vaccines such as typhoid, rabies or Japanese encephalitis 4–8 weeks before travel where possible. Some islands have malaria risk, and a yellow-fever certificate may be required when arriving from a yellow-fever-risk country. All links open in a new tab and lead to the Tropical Institute’s country information on vaccinations, malaria, mosquito protection and health risks.
